Quilts and Coco

Good Day, I hope all of you had a fabulous Christmas, I know I did. I so enjoy watching the kids and grand kids opening presents and being so happy and grateful. One of my favorite things to do is cuddle up in a warm blanket with a cup of hot chocolate watch a great movie or read a good book. And I did just that as long as the air conditioner is on it's not to bad.

For my card I stamped and colored the Designer Quilt Square  then die cut and layer it onto the green card stock I stamped the once onto red cs and embossed it with white embossing powder. then a second time on to white cs I fussy cut and layered the red cup over the white. The new Warm thoughts greeting was stamped and layered onto green.

Off to get the Christmas Tree

Good morning everyone.
I hope your Christmas perpetration are going well. When my kids were little we always went to a Christmas tree farm to get our tree. It was great fun they had hay rides, hot apple cider and my son always cut down our tree. This made great memories that the kids carry on with there families.

Behind the cottage the Pine Tree Snowdrifts were stamped. Everything was colored with Copic markers and Flower Soft was added for the snow.

The smaller of the Double Tall Pines was used on the sides. And the Merry Christmas is from the Christmas Multi Greeting.

Snowy Birthday

Hi all, today I wanted to show you a card I made for my granddaughters birthday its not until December so want it to be more winter and not to much Christmas. I found this stamp last year but it did not arrive in time to us it then. I also wanted to use a different fold, so I chose to do a gate fold.

I started by stamping Marci by La - La Land Crafts I tried some different color combinations an  and decided to use the burgundy and brown on the front. After fussy cutting Marci I started on the front of the card. I cut two burgundy panels then using a old toothbrush and Copic Opaque White I spattered the panels. For the hill she is standing on was cut with a die then lightly covered with Flowersoft snow white. The sign is from DRS designs. The snowflake punches are MS.

I also want to tell you about a great deal that I found  it's a web site called Scrapbook Outlet  they have great prices on die and embossing folders I got five dies and a embossing folder for fifty dollars and free shipping. The service was a little slow as it took 4 days for it to be shipped but it does say on the web site that it could take three to five days, I ordered on a Monday and had it in my hand by the next Tuesday. At these prices I would gladly order from them again.

Autumn is Calling

I am so loving the cooler tempters and beautiful blue sky's It's almost time for a drive across the mountains to see the fall colors and a stop at the apple house for some fried apple pies.

I started by stamping the Open Leaf and the Fall Leaf with Acorn  with Memento Rich Cocoa the sponging on Memento Cantalope,Tangele, and Olive Grove these were fussy cut. With the Rich Cocoa I stamped the Autumn is Calling Greeting then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Now for the plaid background I used my Misti and the cut apart Woven Plaid. The same colors the were used on the leaves were used for the plaid plus I added Fire Brick DI. All the mats were cut with the Perfect layers.

Now I want to tell you what I think of the Misty, before I bought mine I did a lot of research there was talk of the front cracking after about three months but other than that everyone just love there's.
First let me say the shipping was perfect, I could not have asked for better. When I order mine I got the graft paper and I'm so glad that I did. The stamps that I used was DRS designs there are red rubber that I mount with E Z Mount Cling Foam. I found that I need to use the black foam pad, with out it I would need to push to hard on the top and this could cause it to crack. I only use water and a clean soft cloth to clean my stamps. It was so easy to make the plaid background paper with the Misty, I think I am going to be very happy with this purchase.
