Put a Little Love on the back

Hi everyone, today I have a little different kind of post for you. I want to talk about the back of your cards.
Do you put any thing on the back?
Do you sign and date your cards?

The reason that I'm asking is this, long ago when I first started making cards. I made Christmas cards. And I sent them to a lot of the older ladies from my church. I used a lovely PSX stamp on the front and a very sweet stamp on the back.
After that Christmas I got so many sweet comments on this card, and so many of them even comment on the back of the card.
After that year when ever I sent cards if I forgot to stamp the back, I would hear about it through the grape vine (mother in law) :).
So many of these sweet ladies have keep all the Christmas card for the past 20 something years. And use them every year in there decorations. I don't even have a copy of every Christmas card that I have made. You just never know what will be a treasure to someone.

So I wanted to give you some ideals for the treasures that you create for someone in your life.

There all all kinds of stamps for the back of cards.

There are sweet stamps that pull at the heart strings.

Like this sweet stamp that went on the back of this birthday card.

And then there are the Funny ones.

You can match the back to the front.

And easy way to stamp on a dark card is to stamp on sticker paper and die cut.

I like to add the year to my Christmas cards.

And you can find stamps for the seasons.

And this is the little stamp that started my obsession with stamping the back of my cards.(PSX)

It's old now and does not stamp very well, but I still love it.
Oh and you can all ways use heat embossing on dark cards.

I hope this will give you some ideals to share a little extra love on the back of your cards.

All the stamps can be punched at DRS designs

Burlap and Lace

Good Morning everyone, I hope you weekend has been going well. Our weather has been the  perfect fall days.

The card that I have for you today is a double front card. I saw one on YouTube and I new that I had to give it a try.

I started by stamping the New Sunflower Hurricane Candle then I used the Spellbinder Marvelous Squares to cut out the image and the layers. Copics were used the color the image.

Have you seen were they are using the lace and burlap for country weddings? Well that was the inspiration for the edge of the card. I used a MS punch to make the lace.

When you Open the image you see this.

I use the Thank You Lord Greeting on this panel and stamped the Sunflower Trio with Antique Linen ink.

This is the inside with Thanksgiving Blessings and more burlap and lace.

This is the Copic that I used.

This is the link to the video.

Have a wonderful day,

Girly Rose Birthday Card

Good Morning everyone, today is my daughters birthday, she is a girly girl and has been all her life. Were I'm more of a tomboy. She keeps all the cards that I give her and her family. So I new that I want to make her a special birthday card, and it had to be girly. This one took a lot of trial and era.

The stamp is a old PSX stamp. It was colored with Copic Markers. I used refills to color the seam binding. The background is a embossing folder, I added the half pearls at the cross points. And the edge was cut with a Spellbinder die.

Well What do you think, is it girly? Let me know what you think.

Shades of Fall

Hello everyone hope you had a great weekend. I got to do some stamping yesterday and I thought I would share them with you.

I stamped the Leafy Tree E1302 with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I used Copic markers and dotted the color on the image starting with the lightest color and going to the darkest. I added some Flower Soft at the bottom. I used the Large Classic large Oval to cut out the image. The yellow and brown layers were cut with the A2 Card Creator. I had so much fun making the card front I used the IO Cover a Card Scratches CC044 I started with my lightest color and stamped the cream card stock then turned the stamp a quarter turn and added the next color. I used some burlap for the ribbon and I pulled a string from the burlap and made a bow and a button.

I'm interning this card in the Impression Obsession Shades of Fall Challenge.

Here are the colors that I used.

Have wonderful day,

Janett
