Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great Friday. I had a surprise this morning, but before I tell you about it I should give you the back story. Last August 2010 Johns uncle gave me three laying hens. They have been such a joy and the eggs are wonderful. Well March 2011 I went the the farm store and well I ended up with 10 baby chickens and a mallard duck. Well one of the baby hens turned out to be a rooster. But he is so much fun to watch. Now back to the surprise, we went down this morning to feed the kids. And our little bantam, Little Bit had layed our first egg.
