Everyday Stained Glass

Good Morning all, today I am taking a break from my much loved Zombies. To share with you a tutorial on DRS designs Stained Glass Stamps  they have four different styles of stamps. Today I am going to show you three different techniques.

I always start by stamping the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then coloring with Copic markers.

For this card I used the Memento Tuxedo Black and stamped over the top of the Large Single Butterfly.

Then I used a Copic Marker to color the background.

To finish the card I die cut and added some layers.

For my next card I colored the background because I wanted to emboss the stained glass and Copic and embossing don't work well together.

I stamped the Stain Glass with Color Box black and use clear embossing powder.

For my last card I stamped the Stained Glass over the top of the butterfly with Memento Tuxedo Black.

Then I cover the whole thing with Versa Mark Ink and Extra Thick Embossing Powder.

This gives the look of glass.

These are fun stamps that can give a whole different look to any stamp not just Christmas or Easter.

You can find many more examples Here.

Have a wonderful day,

Janett

Ghoul Times

Ghoul Morning all, I am back with a new DRS designs challenge. The new challenge this week is

As you know I am a huge Walking Dead fan, so I had to have a barn with my zombie if your a fan then you will  remembers the barn scene. I don't know what was happening in that barn but this guy had a ruff time.

I started by stamping Zombie Guy covering him with a mask then stamping just the barn from the Cowboy Snowman . I used my Misty and that made it so much easier to line up the barn. I use my Copic markers to color the image.
After die cutting with a rectangle I added a mat then started on the background paper.
For this I stamped the Spooky Tree Limb  with Coco Memento Ink. Then I stamped the Ghoul Times Greeting.

Please join us in this fun challenge.

Have a wonderful day,

Janett

The Zombies are comeing

The Zombies are coming and they want you.

DRS designs has some great new Halloween stamps. I have had the best time working with them you can do so much from scary to cute.
For my card I stared by stamping the Zombie Crawler covering him with a mask then I stamped the        Add A Fence covered that and for the horizon I stamped the Silhouette Grave Yard . I used the outside the box technique and a rectangle die to cut out the image. Everything was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored with Copic markers.

The greeting is the new Zombie Brain Love Greeting It was stamped with Color Box black and embossed with clear embossing powder. The background paper was sponged with Broken China Distress Ink and embossed with a embossing folder.

For the inside I sponged the same as the front the stamped and clear embossed the Zombie Rising Halloween Greeting., and the Silhouette Spooky Village.

The new stamps will be available August 24.

Have a wonderful day,

Janett

Eye See You!

Hi all, I am counting the days until Autumn I love the cooler temps and the leaves changing and the new fall line up on television. My all time favorite show is The Walking Dead that is filmed right here in Georgia. If your a fan then you know in the opening credits they show a door knob turning which my DH think is super creepy, for me it's the creepy eye. My card to day is a tribute to that scene.

I started by stamping the Wood Grain Background on two pieces of brown cs with Memento Coco ink. I cut a strip from one and fussy cut the top to look more like a fence. Then with a knife I cut the hole. I stamped the Eyeball and colored with Copics. This was layered behind the fence with foam tape.

Now if you have read this post then you know there is a hint as to what DRS design new Halloween stamps will be, the release date is 8/24/16 and there are super fun.

Have a wonderful day,
Janett

Friendly Frog Birthday

This weeks DRS designs challenge is one that I don't think we have ever done before.

The challenge this week is a Shaker Card.

I started by stamping and coloring the Friendly Flower Frog then fussy cutting. I stamped the Tiny Happy Birthday and used a small rectangle die. The Frame for the shaker part was stamped with the Wood Grain Background  on brown cs with Memento Coco ink then cut with a rectangle die. For the shaker part I used a small plastic bag and filled it with glitter, sequins, and tiny beads then I  folded the top over and used extra stick tape to close the top and to attach the frame.  This makes a much falter shaker card. For the Background I stamped the Birthday Multi Greeting with Memento Sky Blue ink.

On the inside I used the UnFROGettable Birthday.

And the Copics I used.

Join in the fun.
