Easter Peeps

I have a new DRS designs challenge this week it's All Ears. So lets see your cards.

For my card I used the new Simple Easter Bunny stamp. It was stamped three times and colored with Copic markers. The Favorite Easter Peeps Greeting was cut apart and layered onto yellow card. The white background was die cut then stick tape was placed behind the cutout and I added pink glitter. This was layered onto pink card stock then a yellow card.

I hope to see your cards in the next week.

Shamrocking

Hi all, Wow it has been a cold week here in the south and I was sure spring was just around the corner. But it's early yet and spring will be here soon. This week I have another ST. Patrick card.

For this card I stamped the Shamrockin Day Greeting  and colored with Copic markers. I used a circle die to cut out the image and layered it onto a scalloped circle. Dimensional glue was used on the scallops then covered with green glitter. For the Background I stamped the Polka Dot Background stamp with green ink onto white paper then I stamped the Large Original Plaid at a angle with the same green ink onto green card stock. I added the green ribbon with knot layered over the top. You can see how to make the knot  Here. I added a strip of punched white lace to the bottom of the green strip.

For the back I added a green strip then I stamped the Celtic Knot and the Script Hand Stamped.
If you have any questions I will be glad to help just leave a comment.

Green Challenge

Hi all, I'm back with a new DRS designs challenge. This week the challenge is a color challenge.

These are perfect colors for a St Patrick card and that is just what I have for you today.

I stamped Everything Irish and colored with Copic markers after cutting with a die I kept it in the die and traced inside the die with a glue pen and then added  gold glitter. I use brushable glue to add gold glitter to the pot of gold. This was layered on a green die cut. I stamped the Shamrockin Day Greeting with peeled paint  and used the distress markers the color the clovers. I traced inside a die with a glue pen then added the gold glitter.

I used a little liquid applique on the mug.

Have a wonderful day,

Stone Infinity Carving

I know spring is on it's way I'm starting to see small signs. There are more birds and squirrels and the daffodils are up. And I know my friends in the north will be happy to see it's arrival. And I'm ready to spent some time outside. But for now I will stay in and stamp my heart out.

                                         On to my card.

I love the new Infinity Shamrock . When ever I see these Celtic knots I all ways associate them with carving in stone. That is what I was trying to achieve here. I started by cutting three ovals and gluing them together. When they were dry I rubbed some Versa Mark ink not covering the entire services then covering with Platinum embossing powder. I repeated this trying for a uneven services then I sprinkled in some black and verdigris  embossing powder. While it was still hot I inked the Infinity Shamrock with Brillance Graphite Black ink and stamped into the embossing powder creating this recessed image. When it cooled I rubbed on some Memento London Fog and Olive Grove.

I stamped the Irish Blessing on green card the edges were sponged with Antique Linen ink and added some black corners and a black card.

Have a wonderful day,

I'm so Lucky

I'm back with a new DRS designs challenge this week it's Office Supplies. Join in the fun to win a ten dollar store voucher. You get to pick what stamps that you want.

I started by stamping the Shamrock Circle. I used Copic markers to color the image and Spellbinder die to cut out the image with the image still in the die I sponge on Antique Linen Distress Ink. I used the circle cut from the center to stamp the Tiny St. Pats Day  then cut with a smaller circle die. The New Lucky To Have You Greeting was sponged while still in the die layered onto green card stock and a paper clip with ribbon was added to the corner.  Now for the background  I was watching Downton Abbey ( my favorite show) I noticed the men were wearing tweed and I thought that would make a great background for a Irish type card. So this is what I came up with. I used brown ink and the Lines O'Plenty Background stamping in different directions. Then I used the Splatter Background first green ink stamping off once then just randomly stamping the background I did the same thing using white ink.

Join us in the fun, until next time,

Janett

Paddy Bear

Good Morning all. Today for my card I have a new fold that I had not tried before. It's called a Recessed Window Card. this is the directions.

I stamped Paddy Bear ( isn't he super cute) and colored him with Copic markers then fussy cut. On the inside layer I stamped the new Four Leaf Clover Friends Greeting. Paddy was attached with foam squares. I stamped the Shamrock Vine Corner in all four corners with green ink. And the Tiny St. Pats Day was stamped with the same green ink and punched with a circle punch. The Four Leaf Clover was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.

This was a fun card to make you should give it a try.

Scattered Hearts

I got to do a little shopping this week. I went to Michaels to spend a gift card. Then did have a lot that I wanted but I did find some pearlesent watercolors for less that $5.00. So I had to give them a try.

I started by stamping the Scattered Hearts with Brillance Graphite Black and embossing with clear embossing powder. I masked the image and stamped it a second time. I did not use water color paper so I didn't use a lot of water. I wanted it to have more demention so I colored some more and popped them up. I stamped and embossed the Love You More Greeting then did a wash across the top. For the background I did a wash of all the colors that I used in the hearts. When it was dry I stamped the Interlocking Heart Background with London Fog Mementos Ink. I used extra sticky tape across the bottom and added tiny silver beads.

Here a look at the new water colors. And my new Fiskars Precision Knife I have not used it a lot but so far I liking it a lot.

I hope you will be joining in the So Shapely challenge this week.

Have a wonderful day,

Janett
