Glittering Christmas Angle

Today DRS designs is sponsoring the Christmas Stamping All Year Long challenge. The challenge is to use ribbon or lace. And the prize is a 10.00 dollar voucher to the DRS designs store.

For my card I use the Winged Angel and the 1 line Christmas Blessings.

I stamped the Winged Angel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. and colored her with Copic markers. Then I used the out of the box technique and a Spellbinder die. Four half pearls were added to the top, bottom and sides.

For the gold lace I used sticker paper, a peace of lace was placed over the sticky side ( press it down well so the glitter does not get under the lace)  then gold glitter was sprinkled over the top the lace was removed and white glitter was sprinkled over the sticky part. I used 1/2 inch Tearific Tape for the blue glitter ribbon. For the bow I use the same tape and glittered both sides of the tape, then tied a bow.

For the Greeting stamped each word of the one line Christmas Blessing with Gold Encore ink the cut with a square die.

I hope you will join us. I had a lot of fun making this card.

Have a wonderful. day,

Janett

Outdoor Triple Fold

Today I want to share a new card fold that I found and just had to give it a try. I'm not sure what it's called but I will call it a Triple Fold card. This is my first try and its not perfect, but to understand a new fold I need to try it out and see how well it works.

The finished size is 4 x 4

You start with a 12 x 12 paper and score at 2" , 4" , 8" , 10" inches. Turn the paper a quarter turn and score at 4" , and 8" inches. You will remove the 4 outside squares. And I remover the 2 outside flaps from the middle section. The top flap was cut with a spellbinder die.

My stamp is PSX that I colored with Copic markers.

When you lift the top flap you see the Happy Birthday that was over stamped with the Silhouette Background Tree.

On the two center flaps I stamped the Double Tall Pines on two white panels.

This is the card fully open.

The greeting in the center is Leave a Path Verse. I stamped the Hiker Boot Prints over the top of the verse.
I know it's not you typical birthday greeting but I made this for my grandson who will be turning 15 in a few weeks he has been very thoughtful about his future and what he want to do with his life. Just call me one proud grand mother.

Close up of the Verse.

I'm planing on doing another card and I will try to take some step by step photos.

Have a wonderful day,

Janett

Updated die storage

This is a little update on how I am storing my dies. I did a post a while back but I was not completely satisfied with how it worked. Then I had a light bulb moment. I all ready owned a Creative Memories sticker notebook. And the plastic holders. So my grand daughter got a bunch of old stickers and I had the perfect storage system.

 My old note book.

With the new Spellbinder package I just cut the top off and I will slid right into the pocket, the sets stay together.

For my older dies I cut some card stock that will fit the pocket add some magnet tape and slide the die in the pocket. When you turn the pages the dies stay in place perfectly. I have some pockets that are long and skinny that fit the border die.

I was so happy to find another used for something that was gust taking up space.

Have a wonderful day,

Janett
